This is just how my brain works.
There's always some side or background character that any given work never really focuses on that catches my eye. And they're what I focus on instead. They're cute! Cute!
I guess there's a comparison to be made with the Japanese art community's concept of "mob face" but I don't think it's quite 1:1.
Anyway this has been a long trend, but this specific comic was spurred by one of Kaboozey's pics featuring a nude workout instructor, and how my eyes were drawn to one of the exercisers instead.
