Player 1 wanted to be in Smash Brothers for a long time. Many people in the Animal Crossing threads would discuss how he would make a great addition (while others argued it was nonsensical and would never work). Though he did eventually get added in Smash 4, his hopes of appearing in Brawl were dashed. If only he'd known at the time he'd have his day -- just six years later.
