This is from an old donation drive -- the first time I ever took money from the internet. About half of these notes are fake/intentionally exaggerated. As you can tell I didn't have my 'flowerpot' avatar yet.
I felt bad doing this, which is probably why I tried so hard to lampshade my patheticness and the begging aspect, but some real life acquaintances talked me into it and I was desperate. My fans and supporters came through for me, as they always do, and I was able to get some emergency surgery to fix up the more immediate dental problems plaguing me. I've been dealing with tooth, mouth, and jaw pain my entire adult life, and being able to finally afford to get some serious work done turned things around. I hate that it ever came to this, that I had to come to the internet hat in hand, but I'm glad I did, looking back. I could barely eat. My pride wasn't worth that, and maybe I lost some goodwill by asking, but it was worth it for the quality of life the procedures brought me.
