I love how unapologetically dumb Terraria's aesthetic is. One boss is a big flying angry skull. Its later form is a big angry METAL skull with SPIKES and LASERS and CHAINSAWS. 90% of the game looks like the concept art was sourced from the cover of a middle schooler's notebook. Just daggers and flaming skulls with snakes coming out of them and big bloody monsters everywhere. So much of the game feels cutesy and soft-edged and then you kill something and it explodes into a thousand bloody chunks and a giant rotting monsters pops out of the sky.

I bet the Terraria art book has "MOM DON'T READ!!!" written on the front.
