Roommates: Memoirs of the Hairless Ape
A story co-written by myself (TGWeaver) and Pokemaniacal, based on my work on the game series Five Nights at Freddy's. Originating on the FNAF, this series of 60 chapters was written over the course of nearly two years. It was first uploaded to Pastebin, then, some time after completion, was additionally uploaded to the site Archive of Our Own (AO3) as a primary source. The AO3 reupload, which is used as the basis of formatting for this upload here, featured new formatting, interspersed images (some new, some old), and slight edits -- mostly to the flow of dialog, keeping a character's 'voice' more consistent throughout the story. No scenes overall were added or removed and no story changes were made beyond polish and tone.
The story is now complete, and no sequel is planned. It's hosted here as a means of central consolidation and easy reference.
Even for those who have no interest in Five Nights as Freddy's, I'd still recommend (with bias, of course, as the author) giving it a shot anyway, if you enjoy my writing. Pokemaniacal and I wrote the story very specifically to not need any knowledge of the FNAF games or their story/lore. They're self-supported, and while there are plenty of easter eggs, cameos, and references to give a little extra appreciation to those familiar with the series, we've done our best to keep them subtle and harmless, such that they won't detract from those unfamiliar with the games.
